The Havenkwartier project involves developing and realising 200 owner-occupied homes on the Maashaven side of Katendrecht. The project is worth circa €90 million and consists of 36 town houses and an apartment complex featuring 164 homes, of which 14 are ‘hangar homes’ on the ground floor.
All homes, which vary in surface area between 75 and 250 m2, are energy efficient and have their own outdoor space. In addition, Heijmans is realising commercial space on the ground floor and a car park with bike storage facilities.
Diverse range of homes and space for greenery
The design by VMX architects has taken into account the living needs of residents in various phases of life. This is means three and four-level urban homes are being realised, as well as smaller apartments, maisonettes and penthouses.
Plenty of space has also been created for green features. The roof of the car park, as well as the 7th floor of the apartment complex, will include two spacious roof gardens that can be used by all residents. In addition, most urban homes will have a private garden.
Sales are expected to start in the first half of 2019, with it then being possible to start construction activities by the end of the year. The first meeting will be organised in mid-December 2018; further information about this will follow shortly.
